UCLA SCERC Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Elizabeth Keller Honored with AAOHN Golden Pen Award

Dr. Elizabeth Keller, a postdoctoral fellow at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and SCERC trainee, has been awarded the Golden Pen Award by the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN). This national honor recognizes outstanding contributions to occupational health literature and was presented at the AAOHN National Conference in Pittsburgh, PA, in March 2025.

Dr. Keller received the award for her manuscript, Unlocking Prevalence Data: Describing the Job Stress and Well-being of U.S. Correctional Nurses, published in Workplace Health & Safety. Her research provides a deeper understanding of the job stressors and well-being levels among correctional nurses in the U.S., examining how factors such as work environment and nursing licensure may influence their health. The article outlines implications for occupational health nursing practice with the goal of better supporting nurses working in unique healthcare settings.
