Mission

Creating a safe environment for communities, workplaces and workers. Continuing Education means staying at the top of your game.

Through Continuing Education, the Center reaches out to all levels of management within business and industry, leaders of government, other academic institutions, and workers to increase their awareness of workplace health and safety issues and safe work practices.

Short-term training represents the expressed needs and interests of practicing occupational health and safety specialists and management. Courses are designed around a systematic approach to health and safety education — integrating occupational and environmental health and safety into the business process. Courses are approved for professional accreditation depending on the course including American Board of Industrial Hygiene, Board of Certified Safety Professionals, California Board of Registered Nurses, Continuing Medical Education, and Registered Environmental Health Specialist.
