Dr. Danny Kim, Ph.D.

Dr. Danny Kim, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences from UCLA. He works in the field of trace element toxicology and the health effects of sun-protection behaviors. As a coordinator (lead) faculty for the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) Concentration in the Department of Public Health, he has been a lifelong teacher and a mentor for students, including many underrepresented and disadvantaged students. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award from the CSUF College of Health and Human Development. He has developed six new courses at CSUF, including courses such as hazardous materials, food safety, toxicology, and air pollution. He is a CSUF Faculty Advisor of Distinction award recipient and faculty advisor for the student section of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Orange County Chapter.
