Airek Mathews, PhD, MEd

Dr. Airek Mathews is an Instructional Design Consultant with over 8 years of experience developing online learning experiences, developing training on learning technologies, and enhancing training programs with technology and evidence-based teaching strategies. He assisted with the development of graduate-level courses for a new Emergency Management Master’s program with the USC Bovard College and has assisted the Bloom Institute of Technology with converting a competency-based Web3 boot camp to an online format in the Canvas Learning Management system. He is also an Environmental Health Scientist with two peer-reviewed publications on glove permeation and one peer-reviewed publication on the detection of micro-holes and tears in disposable nitrile glove materials. Using his knowledge of environmental health and instructional design, he provides insight into how to create unique learning experiences that are evidence-based, impactful, and effective at developing skills and enhancing learning experiences.
