Webinar Description
While removal of ash and debris from impacted properties is necessary for environmental protection, the hazardous constituents of residential ash and debris also represent health hazards for workers handling the ash and debris and for members of the community near ash and debris removal activities. Potential health risks associated with these activities will depend on the level and duration of exposure as well as the route of exposure.
The webinar will cover:
- Inhalation exposures to metals and asbestos during ash and debris removal activities and applicable occupational and non-occupational exposure limits.
- Results of personal air monitoring for workers conducting debris removal activities during multiple wildfire debris removal projects and the health and safety implications of the results.
