Jazmine is a 1st year Master of Science student in the Industrial Hygiene Program at UCLA.

What are your OSH interests/research focus? 

Injury prevention and evaluating exposure to pesticides/ fumigants and other chemicals.

What is your motivation for being in the field of Public Health/Occupational Health?

Many of my family and friends have been severely injured on the job and otherwise experienced harm in the workplace. I want to add to the body of research and advocate for changes to protect the health and safety of workers and the general population so that these patterns cease to continue.

Fun fact or something interesting you'd like to share about yourself: 

I have been attacked by a chicken! But I still love birds and own about 150 of them.
